Rewired all the stereo and added new amps. Got rid of this horrendous mess under the rear seat cushion that the previous owner installed. None of the speaker outputs matched the fade/balance! All is good in R/T Land now!

It's all good now....with the exception of the Sails/Tweeters not working. Looks like the previous owner ran separate wires for the lower front door speakers and kept the stock wiring for the sails which were disconnected once the stock amplifier was removed from the circuit.

Need to pull one of the front door panels off to see how the wiring looks. It was raining today so no go on that project. I suspect he added wiring for the lower door speakers and chopped the sail wiring inside the car.

He at least installed JBL GTO speakers which are half decent. Thinking I might upgrade the fronts to Infinity Kappa's!

Just a little more time until I sort it out and make it right. It currently thumps pretty good....just no mid-highs in the front sound stage. Once that's sorted then making the proper adjustments on the Blaupunkt amps and I'm "Golden"!!

This thread should probably be moved to the "Show off your Intrepid (Second Generation)" section. Notifying a Mod now. No need to clog up the 2nd gen section where people are looking for help. Sorry to take up your time!

Hey Ron, are those the smoked Spyders they have out now? If so, I might actually go that route with my car instead of the straight black ones after seeing it on yours.

Those pictures are with the GTO headlight covers on. Same as what's in the pic below. I don't drive at night with those on. Almost no light output with them on.

The turn signals are visible in daylight, I've checked. I don't have the HID kit installed yet for the headlight projectors. The standard bulbs going thru the smoked covers is pretty dismal light output at night.

Hmmm....thinking about a pair of these for the R/T and maybe a pair for the Special?

PAC LOCs are the shizznit! I've got a couple of these and they make things super easy peasy for installing a sub amp or replacing the stock amp. Great price and Plug-N-Play. So you might ask if these units are for 2002-2004 cars how did I get it to work in the 2000 R/T? I already had a Plug-N-Play adapter harness in the car for 1998-2001 to 2002-2004 radios. Just added this inline. No cutting or splicing required. Adjustable outputs for 4 channels. Highly recommended especially if you have a 2002-2004 LH!

Ordered the OEM Seat/Bearings for the front struts today. That's the last piece of the puzzle for getting the Monroe Quickstruts installed. Got to admit the installation of the new Front Swaybar End Links that got rid of the front end "Clunking" over bumps make a difference. The ride still sucks Donkey Ballz with the lowering springs though. Most likely the OEM struts are trashed because of the lowering springs way before their time!

KnuKonceptz is also a great source for your audio install needs. Used one of their 4ga kits for my stereo rewire/amp replacement. Great quality at a very reasonable price! Here's the kit I used:

I used a 0 guage Knu kit for my Special, really good stuff!
I'm not that much of a stereo nut. The 4 ga seemed to be a good compromise for wire size and price. According to the labels on my current amps I'm pulling around 1100 amps peak if that! I think I'll survive with what I have now.
