I was just wondering if anyone has any tips for cleaning up the gen 2 alloys, The are pretty marked up from balancing weights and also had a set of brakes go bad for too long and the got rusty shrapnel in them. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you, I will try to clay bar them and if that doesn't work I will just get the ones off of the 300m that I would prefer anyway as getting them powder coated would probably be more expensive then picking up a new set from the bone yard, I don't know I suppose I could find out what that would cost though :)
As a question, I am unfamiliar with the clay bar, I looked them up on eBay and there are a ton of different grades and makes, what do you guys recommend?

I looked into getting a set of aluminum rims powder coated once and the price was more than getting a new set. That said an aftermarket powder coating will long outlast a new set of rims, most have very cheap coatings. You really have to love the rims to do it.
