We haven't heard much outa rarewolf recently, but I remember the topic it was for.

He hacked off the muffler and just straight-piped it back, I believe. In the pic you can see the clamps holding the pipe on. I think that was it...the main cat and the foward resonators are still there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.

prolly the fuel system pressurizing. Mine does that too. It seems extraordinarily loud in his .wav file. but I think that's what it is.

That's the valves in the transmission opening and closing. Allpar.com will tell ya the same thing too. They just make noise, I guess, but I don't find it too terribly loud.
