Hey I am in the middle of fatmatting my trunk and need tips. I am doing the ENTIRE TRUNK I have 100 square feet and Im not afraid to use it. Does it look like Im doing it right? as you can tell Im having problems with dust entering my trunk because the little trashbag thingies wont stay in place. Whats a quick safe way to plug these holes up? And should I just mat over the holes in the spare tire nook ?(except for the middle hole of course) Is there any way to get a better bond over the welds or should I just skip them all together? Is there any point in matting under the back deck where my 6x9s are? Sorry for all the questions I just wanna do it right Thanks for any help in advance.

No idea what the trashbag things are. Use heat if the mat wont stick well to the surface, get the mat all warm and then apply it, it helps with the adhesion. I dont know on a second gen if its a bad idea to cover all those little holes but I wouldnt worry about it if you dont cover them, probably wouldnt make any difference anyway.

Go ahead and apply the matting to any surface under the 6x9 shelf thingy, hell since you have so much of the stuff personally i would apply it above and below, for maximum deadening.

Looks like so far you are doing everything right.

Finally! Thanks for the bit of advice. I can use all I can get. My trunk is basically in my storage room in my house right now. and My backseat isnt attached either. Hopefully I can get the majority done today so I can start on the Doors.
