platinum is correct on both counts.
The muffler is the big thing under the passenger seats, the resonator is the little thing at the end (with the tips). I cut off the muffler and straight piped it back.
It is 'loud' (per se), but not louder than, say, a mustang. It won't disturb your 15 month old....
