I am starting to hear sounds that are clunky and grindy.lol . It appears to be in the stearing and it happens more when I come in from driving a long way and make the hard right into my parking spot. I've heard of the rack problems with theses cars. So are these the simptoms? Any one have to replace their's?

Hey Dooley.

I havent changed a rack, but I am sure it wouldnt be to hard considering its pretty accesable.. Checked the Strut etc on that right side though? CV joint, Bearings... Just a few other possible things it could be.

I did, I had a front end accident not to long after I got the car and it eventually bound up...

Mine was an extreme case, but it was actually burning the power steering fluid, turning it into black syurpy sludge..

The car was driveable, just very difficult to park

If your hearing a grinding noise, I would first suspect tie rod ends, or possibly your power steering pump...
