My 2000 Chrysler Intrepid

Hello, my name is Mark. I live in BC, Canada. I bought my second car, a 2000 Chrysler Intrepid after losing my 1999 Chevrolet Lumina in a car accident. I drove my mom's Intrepid for 3 months after my accident before buying one of my own because I loved the feel of it. I swapped the rim covers right away because she has the exact same car. Only way to tell the difference between them when I first got it. It had/ has a few dings but they're slowly coming along.

First car

First car album (accident pictures are there too)

Second (current) car

There is a pick-n-pull in Kelowna with more than 20 Treps. I bet you could find lots of upgrades there.......maybe even a low mileage 3.5 or two.

I agree, the orange really turns it up a notch so to speak :)
Thank you. :)

Haha well I did want to be unique. I guess it worked. :) Thank you.

Yes, I've actually been there a few times now. I pulled those bumpers from there :D. I saw at least 3 3.5L HO engines there.

Could anyone direct me to which cars interiors are compatible with intrepids? I want the fold down back seat, which I know will work coming straight from a trep, but would it work with others?

back seats are universal, as long as you take both the bottom and the backing.

Front seats are touchy, depending on year, the connections may not match up. some M seats will hook right up whereas others wont. Stay within the 98-01 years, or the 02-04 years ( i have failed to look what year your car is, i apologize), and you shoudl be golden.

I believe the 300m's have the 60/40 split folding seats too, so you should be able to use them

If you want to stay with an Intrepid interior style then look for an ES or R/T model for the 60/40 split rear folding seats.

300m all have the 60/40 split folding rears. The Concorde and LHS have only a Ski "Pass Thru" I believe and the rear seat back doesn't fold down.

All 2nd gen front seats bolt into all 2nd gen cars. Some model Intrepid fronts are both power seats. Some others the passenger seat is the manual variety. All 300m will be both powered front along with heated for both fronts. Memory for the front drivers side.

Seeing as how you have a 2000 and if you don't currently have power front seats the wiring for the power functions may be under the carpet hidden.

If you don't have at least one power front seat now you'll need to add wiring to get that to work for the "new" seats. The Heated/Memory wiring is separate connectors and don't need to be hooked up until needed. The power seat wiring is a must though. Also some models had Side Airbags on the front seats. Again that is a separate connector and doesn't need to be hooked up.

If you do get seats out of a 300m get the section of wiring harness that goes between the front seats to make late connections easier if you want the Heated/Memory functions.

I do have a powered seat on the driver side. I didnt realize there was an option for both. Currently, there is only 1 300M at the picknpull in Kelowna. I wanted the cluster from it, but it was already gone. I didnt really take a close look at the interior though. And getting it home would be a tricky process.

You can get a full set of seats in an Intrepid. You just need to remove your rear seat back and rear seat lower cushion.

Then you put the "new" rear seat back into place. Put the front seats in the back and the rear seat cushion on top of those. You'll need to move your front seats forward to get the "new" front seats in the back.

I've transported a full set of seats in my Intrepid/300m more than once!

This is the history of the seats in my 2000 R/T.

When I bought it...already had regular 300m seats in it. Along with a full 300m interior. Dash/Door Panels/Seats/Trim/etc. Dark slate from a 2001. I traded those seats for a stock set of 2000 Intrepid Leather ES seats in Quartz to DIno.

I had a set of Light Taupe Leather seats from a 300m Special that I bought from Josh awhile back and had sitting in storage. Also had the lower dash trim pieces and Center console in Light taupe. Here's a shot of it when I was doing the door replacement. Has the Faux Carbon fiber Dash/Door trim from a 300m Special.

The wiring is in place to have the Memory/Heated front seat functions working. Along with Heated/Tilt Folding Gloss Black Door Mirrors from an LHS. So it has most of the working good stuff from a 300m.

2002 and later have much larger head rests on the front seats also. The rears are all the same size.
