Never done a trailing arm, have done the lateral links though, (the ones with the adjuster collars) They were pretty straight forward. One point of advise: Spray WD-40 like crazy. Very common the bolts that go through the bushings freeze up. They can ruin a day.
Torches need torches. That is the easiest way to loosen those stuck adjusting collars. But no I have not seen one replaced on LH cars. Lots on some other types, but not on LH cars. Did see an intrepid with a bent strut. Person said she slipped off a curb. What was SHE doing on a curb? Tire was sitting at about 20-30 degrees from straight up and down (camber). OW.
