Hey guys, I added a remote starter to my 9r4 today. I had to come up with some creative **** to get it to work right. The only bad side is the remote only workd from like 100 feet away. Quite dissapointing...but when you pay $30 off of Walmart clearance what can you say?.......191k and still going.....

I got a POS starter right now that only works like 50 feet from the car!!!

Really pisses me off, and a few days ago it stopped working altogether!!!

I'm saving up for a new one right now. Not even worth my time to get this POS fixed.

...and it cost $400 (alarm included, but it's a POS also....I haven't been able to set it off no matter how hard I shake the car!!!)

here in mason you can get a really nice remote starter for $200 installed. Its like $450 installed for a remote starter, alarm, and keyless entry...its all Alpine brand too.

i can get an alarm installed for 40$ above the store-cost of the alarm.. its nice to have friends in the industry..

hey try to find a dealer in your aream that does compustar alarms they are great and for little money u can add remote start and an antenna that extends the range in have it and it works from about 300-400 ft away

my remote starter was installed by the dealer so I have no idea what brand it is (controller is just solid black) it kicks butt though, no problems at all, I just had one installed on my wifes explorer for $200 w/lifetime warranty at the same shop that installed my subwoofer, I am so impressed with their work that they will be getting all of my business from now on.
