Ok so I'm not sure about this so I thought I'd ask... Can you get extras made from these? I notice there is a number on the back of each remote and I would like to get an extra set made as my starter remote is broken on the part you put on a key ring.
Also for some reason sometimes when I go to lock and unlock my door it doesn't work on the first press sometimes it takes a few times and sometimes I have to get really close, and sometimes it doesn't lock all the doors with one click I have to push two or three times. lol. (sorry for all the sometimes). Anyway, if anyone has any info on this please let me know.
thanks! :)

Is your battery in the remote low? Maybe that would help with the having to push the button over and over and having to be so close. You could probably contact the manufacturer or whoever did your install on the starter for a new remote.

the higher end aftermarket remote start systems. change codes each time you use it. if its a two way remote meaning the car and remote send signal back and forth. this is what's on my car. Its made by clarion. anyway if the remote is away from the car for an extended period of time. you may have to press the button a couple of times. for system and remote to sync back up. and as far as extra remotes most systems allow up to five remotes. but they have to be programmed by a install shop. they have a machine that does it.

oh yeah I almost forgot. the doors taking a couple times to lock that's more than likely the lock motors wearing out.
