I heard a loud pop yesterday in my right rear (1997 Trep) turning a corner yesterday. It happened a short distance from home and on the way back I would hear a clunk/thump every time I hit a bump. Pulled up in the driveway and looked under the car. It appears the rear stabilizer/sway bar has come separated from the stabilizer bar link on the passenger side. This may seem like an incredibly stupid question but would it be safe to drive for short distances (5 miles or so) for a few days till I can get it fixed. My rationale being the sway bar reduces body lean while cornering but is it dangerous to drive at all???
