I HATE CATS! due to my trep being a former lease car, the ONLY flaws on it(other than mileage), are cat scratches on the trunk lid, and hood. I figure that i need to go to a paint/body shop...but what exactly should i have them do? I blind in the area of paint/body repair...but i can spell bondo.

I have a dollar-coin size dent on the hood of my car with a 1 inch scratch. Quite inhibited but bugs the hell out of me. The person (company) that caused the damage reimbursed me. The body shops want to fix and repaint the enitre hood. Thought they could have simply banged out the dent and sprayed the area. No way.
Just some info.......

I'm pretty positive the trunk scratches can be buffed out...but the ones on the hood seem too deep....is there such a thing as a clearcoat filler?

If there is, I would not think that it is effective.
Our 2nd Gen hoods are prone to alot of abuse. Although the lines/design is sleek 'n all, stone chips and everything else have no grille to deflect the crap.
I think we will all have our hands full correcting the damage.
