Is the entire seat wobbly or just the base?

Maybe that the seatpan has broken. According to allpar, there is a TSB, and silent warranty for broken seatpans on 96 models.

There are some pressed in threaded inserts that are used to bolt the seatpan to the seat frame. It is fairly common for the inserts to pull out of the pan.

If the dealer wont repair the seat for you, you can pull off the cover, and repair the seatpan with some small pieces of metal, and some nuts and bolts.

Or maybe its just loose, try tightening it.

DC sent me a recall notice about the seat-back brackets breaking and them installing new ones or whatever the fix was. Basically I was told (by my Madison dealership) that if the brackets weren't broken, they wouldn't fix them.

Yeah..so I'll just wait until my brackets break some day either normal driving or in an accident. Smart f*ckers.
