Hey guys, as a lot of you know I don't have my Intrepid anymore but I was wondering if someone could tell me how difficult a job it is to replace a starter solenoid mounted under the car.

I have a 93 Taurus and I am tired of getting under the car to bang on the stuck solenoid so I can start it.

3.0L engine?

If so, its right in the front, in the middle. Pretty simple to get to, two bolts hold the starter in place and then there is a plastic shield (if its still there) that will have two bolts holding it. Once the starter is loose you can remove the battery cable and solenoid wire from it. Make sure you disconnect the battery before you do anything.

After that remove the starter from the car and you will be able to get to the solenoid to replace it. Just two bolts hold it on IIRC.
