Hey all. I'm heading to a car show/meet next weekend for late model Mopars, so I'm doin some detailing early. I'll wash the car next week, though. God is she dirty...

Anyway..thought I'd share this with you guys if you got the itch for a new color inside the car.

Part 1
-Remove the grilles from the doors
-Choose your favorite color spray paint
-Paint 'em!

I used bumper chrome in my application as I have the Waterblue paint, silver racing stripes, and silver wheels. Plus a blue neon, so I really didn't want to be tacky with another color. I think it will compliment nicely. Just look at the difference between the stock grey color and the new chrome.

Part II

I'm doing similar paint jobs... all our smooth plastic trip across the front of the dash (the vent plastic) I've repainted, all the way across to the front doors where our door handles are, repainted the plastic oval thing in front of the gauges. it all looks sweet. did it in midnight blue, the put a few layers of clearcoat on it so it looks like a car's finish. I"ll get pics when I can. if you redo some of the grills, I reccomend doing some trim as well, tasteful accents :) it's worth it!

that's actually a good damn idea.

only question is, what color TASTEFULLY accents the beige interior? not black and not silver. the car is platinum. i'm open for suggestions.

also, what kind of paint did you use for the door-handle-mounts?

If any of you wanna see what this looks like, check out some of my pics. I did this about a year ago and it still looks good. It's one of the first things people notice about the inside. It's reall easy too, no more than a couple screws and it all comes out. I even pulled the gauge pod, pulled the gauges, and painted the surrounding plastic in Indy Red. Makes a real difference. JT

I painted all the trim in mine silver with red accents. (silver across dash, red for door handles and vents)
I'll upload some pics but i chose those colors because I'm getting a new paintjob for the car this summer, and I wanted it to match well. It's a great change of scenery inside and gives it a good modern look. Not to mention it was pretty cheap!
