I need to replace the door speakers in my car, and I have a couple of questions.
I know the stock size is 4" but I have heard that people have put 5.25" in to the doors. Are there any special considerations, or do they slip right in?
I've been looking at possibly getting mid-bass drivers for the doors as the dash houses pretty nice tweeters. (I have the Infinity system.) I've found some in varying sizes; 3.5" 4" and 5.25" What frequency range should I look for? I think that 80Hz-xKHz should be fine.
The rear package shelf speakers will come later, and I have a couple ideas for that. Either some good quality 6x9's or a couple of 6.5" or 8" woofers with component tweeters.
TIA for helping me out.
