hey guys i have a 1st gen and was wondering how hard it would be to put in a 6 1/2 component system in the front cus i have a 5 1/4 speaker opening there now, would it be hard to cut a 6 1/2 hole in there? how would you recommend doing it also? i want to do this cus i got a really good deal on a pair of great cerwin vega component 6 1/2s where should i mount the tweeter (any ideas?)

You can prolly do it, but you're OEM speaker covers will no longer fit without modifications over the speakers.

I moved this to the more specific 1st gen modifications forum.

I would suggest looking at www.crutchfield.com and see what exactly will fit in the 1st gen speaker openings with some modification.

I have a 2nd gen, but I put 6.5" Kappa's in the front door, even though the factory opening is for 5.25".
