Dont know if U resolved yet.
The Intrepids are a piece of crap when it comes to the starting system, especailly the starter. I have had 8 intrepids in my family, and I can predict what will happen next to one of them, based on the mileage on the car. The starter solenoid contacts get sticky, do not spin the coil to generate the current to start and hence it plays dead silence (no clicks) when you turn the key. Turn the key and it might start due to some displacement from the first attempt. Chrysler purposely made it that way so the dealers can make a living out of this - Cant repair, and have to buy new - That way the new parts also get to earn their livelyhood.
Why do you think the fuel filter in those cars are INSIDE the fuel tank, and is impossible for you to replace , like the hondas. Answer : Chrysler needs you to go to the dealers and pay them big bucks - U go figure this out.
