ok.. today just plain sucked ass... I had to go back to Staples to return my cordless optical mouse because it didnt' work and along the way i got pulled over by some gay ass state trooper. I guess its now illegal to drive around during the day w/ headlight blackouts on and parking&fog lights on. yeah, figure that one out. So anyway, he tells me I either have to shut off my lights or take off the covers, so i was like whatever.... I thought he was about to leave then he told me to roll up my window and i new right then i was ****ed. Iowa has a no tint policy on the front windows, which is totally stupid because i only have 50% tint on mine and you can still see perfectly through it. Luckily its only going to cost me $35, but it still pisses me off that the damn cops will waste their time pulling over people for stupid **** like that. In my opinion, there should be no traffic laws at all, but as soon as you put someone in danger, either inside or outside your car, thats when you should get in trouble... just my 2cents....

Yea, some of these laws are just dumb. Here in NJ they passed a law a couple years ago, that if your wipers are on, you must have your headlights on. I guess it's a good idea since you can see other cars better if the lights are on.

Anyway I'm on 95 about noon, and it starts to drizzle. So I put the wipers on delay, and flipped on the fog lights. A trooper pulls me over.

"The law says headlights on. Not fog lights. Not parking lights. HEADLIGHTS!"

At least he let me go with a warning...

I guess I should count my blessings that I haven't been pulled over by a "gay ass" cop yet for my super-bright headlights.

One night I was coming home from a night at the bars (how else is a 21yo gay boy supposed to have fun in Wisconsin? hehehe) and on a country road I passed a cop who was just sitting off the road. Thankfully my radar detector alerted me that it was a cop and not just a car along the side of the road, so I slowed down to 55. I also had my brights on until I saw that it was a cop, so as I was slowing down I switched to the low beams. The cop pulls out to follow me and I'm getting kinda nervous. After a few minutes, he turned off on another road and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Maybe he got a call and had to move, or maybe he was following me because of the headlights. If that's the case, I'm sure he was looking for something else that he could pull me over for.
