This started about 6 months ago and goes like this...
When the car is run about 15 minutes, and when you slightly or forcefully turn the wheel, the steering wheel makes a "whirrrrl" noise. Very annoying to say the least.

Is it the steering gear, or is it in the wheel itself. Almost sounds like plastic on plastic. The actual steering is fine, but I am concerned about longivity.

Any thoughts? Power steering flush? I have turkey basted the fluid several times with Plus 4 aft which is what the dealer said to use. No help yet though on the sound...

It could be low on fluid, but all power stering systems make some noise.

You might try flushing the fluid, dirt in the system will make it noisy.

I doubt it is the wheel itself.
