Hello,
I would like to know if there are any tricks to removing a transaxle pan, or actually what a couple of the best tricks are. I had all of the bolts out and could not get the pan off, so instead of causing damage or running out of daylight I bolted it back up and decided to take another crack at it another day(more prepared).
Thanks
Nate

The RTV sealant is essentially glue so you're going to need to slap the pan with a mallet a few times to break it free.

Be prepared for a mess when you do.

Don't forget to clean off all of the old sealant and gasket before reinstalling things.

mallet

leave four bolts about two turns in and whack that b1tch with a rubber hammer.

Seriously do it.

Usually I whack it on the edge where the metal is work hardened. I usually whack from the back to the front.

If you are affraid you are going to bread it lay a two by for edgeways along the pan and whack that b1tch with a hammer
