Ok so since I would rather give a dead monkey a set of tools before allowing the ****s who originally put my engine in before...I am now in need of someone who either can follow the directions I have on the how to do the swap that I got from (2-7-fix.com) OR has done the swap before...because I was reading through them and i think I could do it but there is alot of stuff where my mechanical knowledge and expertise is not there....so anyone in the chicagoland area wanna come out and help me with this baby!!..Im obviously broke as hell so this would be more of a favor (i might be able to spring up about 150 bucks to pay someone but i still have to buy a friggin cherry picker so i can get the ****in dead 3.5 out of my car...seriously guys I am in some serious need...so if you are anyone you know can help me out i would really really be in your debt..

Don't lose hope, I'm sure someone will pop-up

Unfortunatly you are too far away from me and I honestly don't have the travel time to spare so I can't volunteer

Too bad this couldn't have been done during the Int'l met, that would of really been a great site project

are you just swaping in another 3.5? If so, that should be pretty easy. Just pull the motor, swap any sensors or accesories you need to keep, and drop the new motor back in. I'm pretty close to ya, i'll help if i ever get another weekend off from work (i'm paying dearly for taking off two weekends in a row durring IM week ;) ). I've never pulled an engine out of an LH before, but i have done it in a chevy van. Pays to have patience, and label EVERYTHING...

Sooooooo, anyone else want to pitch in on this or what ? :D

We started this adventure of a project yesterday, got the old motor almost ready to come out (not bad for only 5 hours of work)

Come on, somebody out there must want some experience pulling a LH engine :D

We plan on finishing it up friday afternoon, and as long as it takes on saturday.

Pics will be coming after we're done ;)

Lol yea you get to see so many cool things
1. most narrow city street in the world
2. Crackheads who are also professional mechanics that come up to you and give their opinion on what you could do.
3. Finding mystery parts that are in my engine from the dickbags that put my engine in the first time.

But seriously theres gotta be someone in the chicagoland area thats wanna come on down and help out it was a fun time...it was a bit of work (mostly mike did since I dont know **** and kept losing my own tools and lockin my keys in the trunk while the battery is disconnected preventing me from using the trunk pop, then reactivating the battery only to remember that that the plastic the knee bolster was in my house lmao...along with my keys on the dining room table lo)...but come on guys its gonna be a fun time the more the merrier

:boink: :bigparty:

Well the car is finished and work...well sorta kinda...today i drove it to get some hoses for the power steering and its leaking coolant so i pulled over and put some water in it but when i tried to start it back up no start...no turnover nothing...but yea dont know what that could be...any guesses? I was thinking thermostat or hoses...i will bleed the system tomorrow to get all the air out...and hopefully flush it...but yea any ideas on what could be wrong?

Anyway i want to say thanks alot Mike (lhsdriver01) for all his help because i wouldnt be anywhere without all his help and time he put in to help me out when i needed it the most...also i wanna thank Rich (To-Damax) and his son and wife for all of their generous hospitality and help...and for those that dont know Rich has done the fastest 2.7 to 3.5 swap on the site thus far i will let you guys ask him about that...his shop was simply a dream house lol...but yea here are some pics for you to feast your eyes on.
