Now you're talkin'! I'm licensed to play in three states, lol! Well, not really, but you'll think so after I take your loot, lol! I play just about every weekend. Hell I've lost as much as $350 at one time and won as much as $600! I absolutely love the game and am down for $100 minimum. When and where?

ahhh Texas Holdem now you are talking my language...

Personally if we are talking small dollar amounts and limited bankrolls I think a no limit tournament is the way to go (if we can get at minimum 10 players). Example everyone pays $20 and gets $1000 in chips...whoever ends up with all of the chips is the winner. Gives everyone the chance to play, most you can lose is $20, enough chips in play to make it interesting, a lot more exciting as people start getting eliminated. Anything less than 20 players you pay the top two places. I have experience running tournaments so I would be willing to setup the structures etc... You can always start up a cash game as people get bounced from the tournament. I think we would defnitely need chips as I think the hotel might frown on us throwing around cash. I have chips...

I am willing to play in a cash game for basically any amount of $. Disclaimer: I play NL Texas Holdem Poker semi-professionally.

Name: Tony
Min Stakes: $20
Max Stakes: you name it...
Preferred Night: Saturday Night
Chips or Quarters: Chips
Turnament or Cash Game: Both
Blinds Yes or No: YES
Lobby or Room: Lobby if possible

That sounds pretty good. As an example $25 buy-in, 10 players, $250 pot.

$175 to the winner and $75 to the runner up.

Works for me. Someone has to provide a LOT of chips though.

I have 500 chips and have access to more if necessary. It is really pretty easy...I have four colors...so you just say one color is $25...another is $50...another is $100...and another is $500...

Everyone gets (10) $25, (10) $50, (5) $100, (2) $500...= $2250. Doesn't matter how much you start with as long as everyone has the same...in this example we would only need 270 chips for ten players...

You would start the blinds at 25-50 and then double them every XX minutes depending on how long you want the tourney to last...usually 20 or 30 minutes is a good structure for a live game.

Ilike the 25 buy in but i think to keep it interesting and a bit longer than a 30 min game we should use the chips as a little less value ..if some of you baller players wanna play for more thats cool with me ..but to keep it interesting and get some people playing probally do lik 5 10 25 50 chips ..i mean with a 25chip buy in ..you only get so many hands ..JMO

If its a 25 dollar buy in. The you could just got with .25 .50 1.00 2.00 and 5.00 chips. Let everyone that buys in with 25 dollars have exactly that in chips. We play until one person has it all. Paying out at 1st second and third.

Where all do you play, Tony? I play mostly online (Party), and the occasional home game. I was up at Soaring Eagle Casino in Michigan this weekend playing 6-12. And one of the country's nicest card rooms (I hear) is not a half hour from my house, Canterbury Card Club, but I have yet to play there.

I play online, Gaming Club...part of the Prima Network. Have often thought of moving over to Party (always have heard it is the "fishiest" place to play) but I figure why change something that is working. I also don't like that Party has half the maximum buy-ins on the NL games compared to what they are on other sites and they do not have high stakes NL games. I typically play $200 buyin and $400 buyin NL, multiple tables. I just hope this poker craze keeps going for a while longer, I am making a nice supplementary income playing poker.

I play some home tournaments but don't get the chance to play live very often. A few of the casinos offer Poker around here but I figure what is the point...the live casinos have a larger rake, I would have to drive for 30 minutes each way, the action is slower, waiting lists, etc...of course there are a lot of things that are more interesting about a live game but for me it is all about earning and online is far better in that regard.

The value of the chips really does not matter...if we use my example of above each person would pay $25 and start with $2250 in chips (we could start with even more), the blinds start at 25-50 and double every 30 minutes. It will be at least a few hour tournament if people do not get crazy with the betting/raising. Of course with NL you could be out in one hand but that would be true with any chip denomination. Typically 25 hands would be dealt an hour...that would mean you would only go through the blinds ~3-4 times in the first hour only costing you ~400 in chips in the first hour if you don't play a hand or win a hand. I am pretty experienced at running tournaments and using this format I would say you are looking at around a 3 hour tournament if we get 10 people.

It is only $25 entry...I can't see how that could be too rich for anyone who wants to play...hell it is one tank of gas...if you can afford to drive your car you can afford to play this poker tournament (if you want to play).

Yeah, Party is pretty fishy. Which at the lower NL tables (25-100), is a problem. Huge swings, hard to make money with any consistency.

I have friends on Royal Vegas (also Prima) that make some pretty rediculous money quite easily. I hear the Prima network is pretty good too. I'll probably get on Royal Vegas sometime in the next couple weeks; seems quite profitable.

And I hear you on the live games, it's definitely a lot slower. But it's fun once in a while. There were definitely a lot of BAD players there though. I pulled in $400-some on my first night, and my friend (who is definitely better than me) made about $1700 playing 10-20. Granted these were probably better than average nights, but there's definitely a lot of potential there all the same.

I'm up for this, but I'm hoping for no more than a $20 buy in, I'm ummmmmm financially unstable right now ;)

$20 buy in with maybe 500 chips each - value of the lowest chips being 5.
