So my 01 Intrepid with the 3.5 engine has been running hot and I diagnosed as the thermostat is not working the lower radiator hose is much cooler than the top. So I called the Dodge dealer and they do have a thermostat but not the seal they said it's discontinued now what?

I was going to go with the OEM thermostat from what I have read on here, but need to know what kind of seal seal I can get and from where thanks.

Or should I just go with aftermarket?

BTW where are the parts microfiche located?

thanks,
Gary

Forgot about attachments. The parts catalogs are small enough to post as a single file attachment.

Try this......

I got a Gates thermostat that I'm gonna replace the original with. People trust Gates water pumps and timing belts so I don't see the issue with their thermostat. Also gaskets are just that. I don't think that's something that HAS to be OEM.
