I found a 2000 Dodge Intrepid RT pretty close to me. It has 119,555 miles on it. Which is high, but from what I come to know those 3.5 HO are pretty reliable? For a price of $5,987 is that a good deal? What would be?
As far as kelly blue book goes at least, it is an average deal, as long as the body is good, it runs well and has a good maintence history it's not a bad deal at least. If I had 6 grand though, I would definitely go for it though. what color btw and does it have a sunroof?
There is probably a load of scheduled/mandatory maintenance required for any trep with 120k miles. Figure between $750 (doing ALL the work yourself including the messy stuff) to $2k if you also need tires.
That's pretty close to the deal I got on mine. Seller was asking $5,800 for my 2000 R/T with 83,700 miles. I got the price down to $5,600 because the tires would need replacing within a year. Good luck in my favor: previous owner had all maintenance records and was meticulous about maintenance.
I think you've got a good deal providing the car is well maintained and clean.
