ThunderChicken w/a 5 Litre

Finally!! First kill in my R/T!!

I lined up with a late 80's ThunderChicken (driven by a woman) with a Mustang "5.0" on the fender and Mustang rims.

I dropped the hammer when the light turned green, and she held with me until my redline shift from 2nd to 3rd - I never looked at the speedo, I used the tach to make sure I was keeping it in the powerband - at that point I pulled away by 1 and a half car length and then she fell in behind.

I did not blow her away by any means, like I wanted to, but I stll wound up in front. Yes!!! Merry Chrismas to me!!!

:D :D :D

This was in Hanover. The T-Chicken was black, and looked liked it wasn't taken care of very well . . . I didn't notice any red stripe though. Not to say there wasn't one.

What school do you go to?
I'm pretty excited - the R/T had just shifted to 3rd - another gear to go!

I tried to get a newer 'Stang to go on the highway shortly after that, but he wouldn't take.

I am trying to get a buddy of mine to race me in a law-enforcement type vehicle (either a Crown Vic or a new Impala). I'll keep you posted on that one.

Thanks - I really wouldn't mind losing to a Mustang 5.0 - as I mentioned in another post, my sister had an '87, lo-mileage and that car was nothing to fear. It had a 5-speed and was s.a.s. I think it's problem was the gear ratio.

Point being, I know there are doggy 'Stangs out there. I wouldn't care if I got trounced, because there is the off chance I could line up against one that is set up like my sisters.

Besides, what kind of wuss would I be if I backed down?
