Ok I think it's time to get a steering wheel cover. I have the leather wrapped wheel and its starting to wear and get kinda rough where my hands always are. Has anybody seen any nice covers that have a little bit of color in them that aren't really rubbery or look cheesy as all hell?

Yeah well its on the back side of the wheel where I keep my hand on the top. It's not too bad, but I don't want it to get any worse either. It looks like when you scuff a leather coat but rougher because the leather on the wheel is pretty darn tough.

i PURPOSELY TRY NOT TOO GRASP THE STEERING WHEEL TOO HARD, IN THE SAME PLACE, DAY AFTER DAY. I USE MY FINGERS, WORK THE 9 O'CLOCK POSITION FREQUENTLY AND DO WHATEVER TO AVOID PREMATURE WEAR. I HAD A '92 EAGLE PREMIER ES LIMITED AND I KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS ARE TALKING ABOUT.
THE SAME WITH THE SHIFTER. INSTEAD OF GRASPING IT CONSTANTLY, USE THE BACK OF YOUR HAND OR WRIST TO SLAP THE SHIFTER SIDE-TO-SIDE. THIS MAY PREVENT THE PERSPIRATION (OUR COMPETITORS SWEAT) FROM DESTROYING THE LEATHER.
THAT IS THE PRICE WE PAY FOR HAVING THE FINE LEATHER WRAPPED STEERING WHEEL. I HAVE IT TOO. HOPE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO ME ANY TIME SOON.
