I'm looking at different replacement tire sizes and I think I've decided on a set of Michelin Pilot XGT Z4 235/45-17. Does anybody have tires with similar measurements??? I'd really like to see what the trep would look like with these dimensions for tires.

Hey juniortt YOU have rim? well if you do i think 245/50/17 would look very good unless youre car is dropped then 45 is good i would go 245 it would look awsome thats if it fits.

No, I don't have the rims yet, but I plan on getting Konig Villain 17x8's when I get the tires. They aren't exactly expensive rims ($175 each), but I like the look of them more than any other rim (even the more expensive ones). I don't think I'll be doing this until Christmas, but I'm certainly planning ahead.

Hey junior, check out the link in my sig. I use 245/45ZR17s. I out on BFG X-Forces and they are the best tire I have ever owned. They last longer and grip tighter than any other tire.

How much do those tires cost, and how long do they last?

I am Referring to the BFG X-forces, of course

Also, does anybody think 255 is too wide?
Im gonna replace my rims and tires next, In about 3 months mabey, or as soon as I can get the $1300 or so saved up. thats about how much i wanna spend anyway, mabey up to $1500 at most

I was thinking 17x8 rims and 255/45 17 tires, but Im not sure what kind yet. Anybody tried Nitto tires? they seem like good bang for your buck

Really like to bag a set of 17's from an lhs or 300m, wrap them with 245/45/17's. BFG's are definately the way to go on these!

Do they rub in hard cornering? The tires I have fit absolutely perfectly. I would think that 255 might be a bit too big and rub the strut under hard turns.

255 is THE WIDEST you can put on these cars. I have 255/50/16 Michelin Pilot XGT Z4 tires on my Intrepid. They only have a couple millimeteres of clearance, but they don't rub. Any wider would be a problem. I highly reccomend getting as much rubber as you can under these cars. They are amazing when you give them some serious tires...especially if you have the sport suspension. Using a Gtech, I pulled a continuous .94 G's after my tire upgrade. Tested and verified many times. I highly reccomend the XGT Z4s. I also have Pilot Sports on my Lincoln Mark VIII. Those tires are incredible in the rain, but have a little more sqirm. It feels like the sidewalls are softer, which isn't what I expected. But I think they are designed for extremely low profile situations where you need a lot of sidewall flex to compensate for the shortness of the sidewall.
