Ok...I believe I have finally found a magnum which I can afford, like, and want....I have a pretty open-ended question to all of you magnum owners now....what are some complaints u have with the magnum? What are some likes, loves of the car? I do not know anyone who owns one so I can't really ask anyone besides here...Any major problems with your magnum would be nice to know going into ownership. Also any major advantages of ownership! How does it handle in the snow? I have lots of that here in NW Indiana right now! Thanks in advance!

ya....i hear ya....i actually prefer the factory chromies that are on it...they just look pretty badass....there are also non awd r/t's there at the same lot...this lot has about 9 magnums on it and they are all pretty nice...not sure why there are so many in one place but good for me....I've been wanting one since they came out and have been lucky enough to drive quite a few and without supervision, lol....just not sure how the rwd would work in this weather...don't want to screw myself with another rwd car...my first car was a 1981 ford thunderbird with rwd and it was great in snow but of course it weighed like 8million pounds being an 81! LOL....

If you get alot of snow, I say go with the AWD version. I have the RWD SXT and I'm able to get through the winter just fine. But we don't get lots of snow like we used to.
That sounds like a very good price for an AWD V8. I'd do a car fax just to be sure it's not TOO good a deal... know what I mean? The Hemi's take a little more scheduled maintanance than the V6 models. If you get a Magnum though, plan on getting ALOT of attention. Gotten more compliments on this car than any other I've owned. You'll love it too when you can put a big screen TV or similar long object in the back with no problem.

I just bought a 05 SXT and i really love it.I love my old eagle vision but i got no complaints with this car.If i wasnt so far away from my job i wouldve gotten the R/T but the 3.5 has alot of power and alot of people think this car is a cops car cause they rarely want to pass me lol... Heres a pic of the car i got.I gotta put vent visors on it and tint the front doors and the front windshield and paint or replace the side rear view mirrors and getthem color matched to the car.

thanks
pat

The SXT Magnums were really a mixed lot. Some came with fog lights, chrome grille and color matched mirrors and some didn't. Some didn't even come with the alloy wheels. Depended on which package you got. I lucked out and got all the goods except the sunroof. I added the black headlightys and the 18" R/T wheels. Now you have to become a member of LX forums also if you're not already. Congrats on the Magnum.

I've only had limited experience driving them for a couple weeks. Great car. Only 1 complaint though .. monster-sized blind spots, especially over drivers side shoulder. I drove the 3.5 and it was great, but not AWD. I used to drive an AWD Ford Escape and it was only TRULY NEEDED maybe 2 days a year on the worst of snow days. Otherwise, you can get around pretty well .... imo.

Biggest thing for me to get used to with the Magnum was the high window sills. Yeah there are blind spots, but so does the Intrepid at first. The SXT's are usually the easiest to pick up as alot of them were lease returns. Most of the rental cars were SE's . That's how I bought mine. Was a company lease up in Canada. Check cars.com or autotrader.com ..... should be some in your area.
