Has anyone else noticed that a lot of air comes out of the defroster vents even if the heat is directed to the floor? My '96 with ATC seems to always put at least some air to the glass, which travels back and seems to blow right in the eyes. It's very annoying.

Have you noticed this, and have you done anything about it?

Someone posted before about recalibrating the heating system, so that it redetects the positions for all the vents. Try searching for the procedure to do that.

If you have ATC press the 1,2,4 top buttons of the ATC Control panel simultaniously.. should do the trick.. keep them pressed until the display flashes, it will then go through a series of tests an re-calibrations... worked for me.

Forgive my crude diagram below, its
of the ATC panel, the x are the buttons
you press... I`ll take a photo of my ATC
Panel if it helps you and mark it off.

Code "36"

I ran the test and could hear the A/C cycle through the different modes. At the end the display showed "36" as the temp. I assume it's a code, does anyone know what it means?

Thanks

Number 36 means:

"ATC Head communication error"

Dont know what the hell that means, but
thats its definition.

I hope it helps.
