When you take your car into the dealer for a tranny fluid and filter change they also say they will adjust the "bands". What are the "bands" and what do they do?
SI- yes it does but a computer electronicly
controls the solonoid pack which applies the hydrolic flow, thus no bands to adjust, wear or break.cheers! Sully.
the solenoids are what make that ticking sound when you slow down to a stop or if you switch from drive to reverse (i hope you stop first). i always thought it was the power steering pump but in an earlier thread someone set me straight in a LONG tranny post.
