Drop the pan and fill with new fluid. Remove the upper cooling line at the radiator. Place it in a container (milk bottle). The transmission will pump out the old fluid that was in the torque converter. Replace the fluid as it is pumped out.

key phrase, replace as it is pumped out, you don't want it to pump out faster than you're pumping in, no lubrication is bad for moving parts
although, JK, it sounds more like you're asking about just a filter and fluid change by dropping the pan, the DIY flush is as stated by Paul, you disconnect one of the cooler lines going to the radiator to egt the **** out of the TC

If you loosten the bolts on the pan and allow it to drain slowly, then only remove one side of the pan bolts, and have a large pan to catch the fluid. You can do the entire job without much of a mess at all.
