Ok...I just came back from the dealer...I am getting my water pump and timing belt replaced at 103k in a 98 intrepid ES and I am told I have a transmission cooler line leak. My questions are how serious is this? What would the average cost of the repair be? Would this be a task you recommend the dealer fix or something you could take to the average shop? Thanks!

The ends corroded and the rubber to steel seal start to leak. Common problem on these cars.

Buy 2 new lines from the dealer and change it out.

Might be a good idea to do a fluid and filter change afterwards.
