Okay guys it goes alittle something like this. I was talking to some guy with a ecplipse saying that he does 13.4 in 1/4 times. so i told him about my car and showed him the pics. and told him the best these cars can do is like mid 15's. and i told him if they would make crap for this then we would be faster.

Well he tells me like they do make a turbo. and im like keep dreaming he said his freind got one custom fabricated. so i told him can i get his freinds # hes like nope. but i will take pics.

So guys im going to wait until wednseday cause he told me thats when he will take the pics and ask him about the specs, so im going to see if this guys bullshitting or not. Because i dont think the trannies will hold up. He will probably go thru 1 tranny everymonth.

I would doubt "his friend" has anything just by the fact that he wouldn't give you his number, what is he protecting?? Is his friend in the Federal turbo modification relocation program?? There are only two times you aren't eager to show off the work you have done

1: before a race when you don't want the other guy knowing al your secret tricks

and

2: when your story is complete bull

but again, I could be wrong.....

no ****! well, ... a turbo would be nice, but prob a pain in the ass...i talked to some dude with a twin turbo eclipse, i think it was a 94...he was ranting and raving about it...then he pulled onto the track and ran a 15.8...

It's not so much that there is no turbo made for our car, it's just the mounting hardware that's the tough part. Besides that, these 3.5L motors run such high compression(which is where the 214hp come from) that adding a turbo would most likely blow the heads off the motor. And let me tell you, a new hood ain't cheap. I have heard rumors about a supercharged 3.5 in a Prowler. But for that kind of money, i would rather sink it into NOS. Your gas mileage wouldn't suffer and there's no lag.

not if you are gradual about it. Ramp up the amount of Nitrous you want, from nothin gradually to the HP you want. It will save the tranny, save the engine, everything. Also keep the tires in contact with the pavement... :)
Also, if you don't get stupid on it... 30-60 hp shots of NO2 should easily be handled by our cars. 100 hp shots is probably askin too much...

i've heard stories about a guy with a 300m with nitrous and also a guy that is making a 400m (in the 380s for hp BEFORE nos) and they haven't had to rebuild yet. of course their engines are way newer. also the 400m guy apparently beefed up his tranny with gears our of a prowler or something...it wasn't real clear from the guy over at moparchat who claims to have seen the thing being worked on.

still don't know if i'd want to risk that though.

hahahha!! everyone over here is telling me nitrous is the route to go...but every time someone brings it up, i feel like im in a bad after-school special! "Dont do NOS!"
Im picturing that commercial on tv with the burnout-pothead saying how bad bud ruined his life..."Oh man, yeah, i used to be an all A student, best in my class,...but then i started using NOS 10 times a day..."
if you wanna put your car on a cocaine habit, go right ahead...you're not using my car. (star cascades across the screen...) the more you know... :D
