Hey all,

I have a 97 3.5 litre Intrepid, the dreaded "service engine light" came on about a month ago, I changed plugs, and got the fuel filter replaced, along with Pep Boys' purge of the fuel injection system, and they then reset the computer.

700 or so miles later, the "Service engine" light is back on, and the guy at the service place said that one of the codes is a misfiring piston, which could be plug cables.

First question, how involved is it to change the plug wires?

And second question, how do I reset the computer (or what do I need to buy?)

I am not afraid of going under the hood, but want to proceed with caution.

Any one?

Thanks!

I don't know where your from, but if you have a pep-boys you must have a autozone. Autozone have a free loan tool program which they have OBDII scanner which you can scan your car to pull the code and erase from the pcm without messing with the battery.
