I was curious how much a used overhead console is going for? I am thinking about adding one to my RT, but just wanted to know how much I should haggle with the used auto parts place. Thanks...

Ah yes, I went back and re-read Thrasher's posts and he did say his was $150. Is this the same pricing that other people have found? Did this include the wiring bundle in addition to the console?

yeah, that did include the wiring harness which i threw most of away..only needed 4 wires from it for the console, 2 of them i tapped in over head, and the other 2 carefully plucked the ends of the connectors and I plugged directly into my existing connector in the fuse box. this was super easy to install really.
and if u have sunroof, no sweat, get a dremel and cut out a hole to add yer switches.

yes, it was 150 bux, I had another place tell me 250 for it, needless to say, they still have it.


i can probably find more of these, i know of 1 or 2 more around. if I can get prices and people are SERIOUSLY interested, i can pick them up...but I dont want to shuck out $$ and get stuck holding them.

Are all the headliners and consoles in the Intrepids the same color (beige)? I'd hate to have a console ripped out for me and have it be the wrong color.

I do believe that all the headliners are the same color. However, the overhead consoles also come in dark slate.

My headliner is grey, as is my entire interior, dark gray interior, with a light grey headliner...

95 degrees. Was that picture recent? My interior is gold/tan and my headliner is gray.

I have a 96 ES and id like to add a factory overhead console. How much work is neede to accomplish this???

Hey Thrasher ,see I told you the console was an easy mod. The hardest thing is finding one, and getting the nerve to cut the hole in the headliner .

heh, and finding it wasn't really that tough either, the first place I called had one, i just had to goto the yard and see if it actually had it, it was one of them "come down and take a look" deals..

as for getting the nerve to cut my roof...heh, I didn't even bat an eye, just went to it with a razor knife....

now to find more consoles!

I think that picture was taken last summer (or this summer)?
