Does anyone know the torque specs for the water pump mounting bolts? The manual says 105 in/lbs. Any brainiacs know how to convert that to ft/lbs? I did one conversion using the table in the manual, and came up with 87ft/lbs which seems way too tight. The last thing i want to do is to strip the threads!

Also gonna need 250 in/lbs converted to ft/lbs too. If anyone knows the conversion factor that'd be awesome.

Just for fun, i divided by 12, and that comes to 8.75 ft/lbs, my torque wrench doesn't even go that low lol

simply dividing in/lbs by 12 is in fact the way to convert to ft/lbs. the best thing to do is buy an inch/pounds torque wrench. I also prefer to use the inch pounds wrench for any low torque stuff and multiply by 12 if specs are given in ft/lbs such as spark plugs and oil drain plug.

May 27, 2022. I've been searching for torque specs for the water pump on my 2004 2.7L V6. Even if I have to revive an old thread, I will do so to thank you. I couldn't find the number anywhere else. Even the Cloyes video giving detailed instructions on replacing the timing chain neglected to tell the torque on the water pump.
