well it all depends on what kind of scratches, because most scratches are on the clear coat, those are not to be fixed by paint. and wax, Mothers Carnuba wax in a can is good, I use Mopar Paint sealant, then I put that wax over that.

If you've got real scratches, not just in the clearcoat, get the touch-up paint from the dealership. Works great to fill in minor scratches. Then polish and wax normally, allowing at least a day for the touch-up paint to dry.

scratches

depents on how good you are at painting and what color your car is like bright platnum or whight my 97 is platnum so this is what i plan on doing to get rid of my scraches step 1 get auto body tape step 2 auto body paniters paper step 3 1000/1200 grain wet sanding paper step 4 spray panit useing your cars panit code step 5 clear coat in spray can step 6 tape off area around scratch make sure you over lap your tape so when your done and remove every thing you have clean tape when you buff step 7 make sure you cut and tap paper around all four cornners to prevent over spray step 8 sand lightly making sure not to sand throw factory primer wich is a light gray in color if scratch is deeper then that you might have to use a filler (see panit shop for filler info) if you had to sand throw primer you will have to prime after aplling filler with several light thin coats all way making sure you let each coat dry thurly step 9 usaing spray paint maching your cars paint code spray one light thin coat at a time covering primer and or filler let dry check for runs or defects step 10 spray with clear coat useing one light thin coat at a time one to three coats max or to desiered thickness step 11 buff till bleanded pleasie don't trie this if you don't think you can do it it's harder than it sounds i'm a professional detailer good luck
