Hi guys,
What is the EATX shutdown relay do?
I find one thing: each time when I connect the battery, I can clearly hear a "click" from the power distribution center. I pull out the relay one by one, and find if the "EATX shutdown relay" is pulled out, there will be no such "click" sound.

Any idea?

ASD relay is a relay controled by the ECU to kill the engine. It is wired in to the injectors, ignition, and fuel pump. It cuts all of them if it wants to kill the engine.

Common cause for ASD to be thrown is a bad cam or crank position sensor. But if thats the case, you should have a code.
