nuts that bolt down 2nd gen seats? 15MM? I don't seem to have a socket that fits them...

Anybody ever use one of these?

If they don't suck, might be a good thing for yard visits.
Rear seat nuts are 18MM, front seat bolts are 15MM.

Those things, like most "universal" tools are only good for light work, any tough stuff and they disintigrate - at least the ones sold here anyway.

yeah exactly what Ross said about the Gator Grip things
those type of sockets work ok for light duty work, but when it comes to anything heavy duty, they generally get screwed up. We sell them at the hardware store I work at and thats the main complaint about them.

OK, thanks guys.
I knew the rear, I guess I should have specified the front seats. Anyway, thanks.

I wasn't planning on using a gator socket like that at home, or on my rides, but I thought it would lighten the load at the savage yards.

It might come in handy to have one of those gator grip things and a good adjustable wrench, that way you could break it loose with the wrench and then use the socket on it.
