how important are the plastic spacer rings that usually come with aftermarket alloy wheels? i know the factory rims are "hub-centric" and fit the hubs real tight. the spacer rings on my wheels never fit right over the hubs and broke when i had my rims put on. even the 2nd set did not fit. maybe i had a little corrosion on my hubs. or they sent the wrong ones? my I.D. is around 2.7" and the O.D. is maybe .050" larger so they are real thin. it says on the plastic bag they came with but I can't find it right now. I have a SLA modeler at work and i can make ANY plastic part that is smaller than 12"X12"X12". it's pretty slick. I could make speaker grilles or gauge faces or stereo faceplates, you get the idea. anyway, i am going to try and make new spacer rings.
