Well I guess the inevitable happened last night. It was the first real problem the wife's '98 Grand Voyager ever had. She dropped the tranny starting from a red light on a 4-lane highway. No park, no reverse, no drive, no nothing. Luckily I was also driving nearby and got my 6 mos pregnant wife and 2 yr old son safely off the roadway before the police & flatbed showed up (bad stretch of road there). I think we busted it up pretty good, the speedo needle flies freely with the motor and it makes a sick noise when park is selected & that's it. I'll have to check it out. In the meantime I gave the wife the Intrepid & I'm driving the Ram.

Talked to a guy who's van did the same thing recently & it turned out to just be a $50 driveshaft related part that broke. I'd be impressed if that's all it is on mine, should know later today...
