ok i have a 1993 ES and the windshield washer nozzles are integrated into the wiper itself. Is there any way i could change them to the spray kind (like SK8-4EVR) on the hood because i want to buy the kind that light up. if i could do this how hard would it be and would it be beneficial or no?

I have those too...id say forget about the lighted nozzels and think of something else. Theres other stuff you could do for front lighting. ie: accent tubes in the grille or LED's...something to the effect.

As an alternative to the LED's in the washer nozzles, you could buy the LED screw lights (www.midnightmoose.com) that you can hide behind grilles (or put behind air vents inside the car like I am doing), or that you can use to screw your license plate in.....they work pretty good, and look cool too...

Of course, it wouldnt be that hard to put the nozzles on your hood......just drill some holes in the hood to the appropriate size that will fit the nozzles, and cut the washer fluid tube inside the engine compartment, and hook it up to the nozzles on the hood. You will probably need some more hose, which is available at Canadian Tire, or some US equivalent....Pep boys, or whatever....

Is any of this exterior illumination even legal? I don't think WI lets you do this stuff with neon and accent lighting.

They're simply clipped to the arms on my 93 Concorde and snap right off.

But something to think about - drilling holes in the hood will most certainly decrease resale value when you do get ready to part with it. Mods that can be easily reverse might be a better course.

if you were gonna sell the car you could always put OE nozzles in the holes you drilled. the new owner wouldn't know the difference unless you pointed it out.

Djnrg, how difficult is it to put the LED screw lights in the air vents. I have a 2nd gen, so I don't know how much alike they are, but i was thinking about doing this also...

Feels like everything is illegal in IL :(
I know how you feel...ie: in iowa its actually illegal to have window tint of any kind unless it came from the factory tinted...

We in california are the same way. Technically, its illegal to do any aftermarket tinting to the front windows at all. And, I know the undercar kit is illegal, as well as red or green lights on the exterior. On top of all this, we have tighter emissions than any other state. Grrr... sometimes I hate cali. But i would NEVER move out of state.

Hey Barnz......
It prob wouldn't be that hard to put the screw lights in the air vents.......it will look sweet when I am done......(and when I get christmas money to get the darn things in the first place! haha)
Again, I have a first gen, so it might be a little different but here's the basic principle:

I have different colored lights under my seats that I have switches for just behind the gear shifter. I have tapped into the ash tray light wires for power....has been 5 months since I did it, and works great! You could also tap into your lighter (or do the new models come with that "power outlet" thin???) but you would have to turn them off everytime you leave the car. If you hook it up to the ash tray/storage area light, then they will turn off whenever you turn your dash lights off. If you have any more questions, just ask......I am pretty handy when it comes to electronics....but not perfect...well....almost! :)

BTW, to get the screw lights into the actual vents, pop off the vent covers, and then drill a small hole into the vent duct.......the screw lights and wires will fit into the hole, then just run the wires behind the dash to whatever power source you want....and you are done....then again, you could go to Radio Shack and get the 1000MCD blue LED's they have. It would be a LOT cheaper than the screw lights, but I am not sure if they are as bright as the screw lights or not. I am gonna try this soon as a test since the LED's are a LOT cheaper, and I will let you know...
