I've got a '94 ES whose windshield wipers are driving me crazy! It would be hilarious if it didn't happen all the time. When I use them, the delay won't work. Then when I turn them off, they keep right on going...and going..and going. They'll finally stop in the middle of the window. After using them, the next time or two I turn the car on, they turn on right away...and turn on whenever I hit a bump in the road.

Gremlins galore? Or is there an idea someone has on how to fix it? I'm not sure if there's an actual windshield wiper control chip or what.

Thanks!

mine used to do the thing about the delay not always working or not working at all. or not stopping, etc etc etc. one day (after rain season, of course) they ceased doing it and they have worked fine ever since. that problem is actually how i stumbled across this very site. anyway, there was someone just a few days ago that posted on the same topic in this forum. i haven't read whether or not he's solved the problem yet, but the thread is around here somewhere and you're not the only one with the problem. welcome to the boards.

Hey are you talking about the deflectors that are mounted on the wiper arm? If you are my 96 has them on it, and they still skip like Little Red Riding Hood. My prob I think is mainly the windshield is crap, it has permanent wiper trails indented or ground in to the windshield, so that could be part of the reason mine skip.....
