A couple of weeks ago, I took a drive past the two pull a parts here in Indy. There was only one Intrepid. I think we're comin' to the end of the line.

They've all been crushed already. I'll bet 1st gens are pretty rare in the yards by now. 2nd gens right behind them.

It's still a baby, a teenager still :)

Someone has to have one lying around for a fair price.

I've only got the 300m versions which don't interchange. Sorry.

Richland Auto in Richland Michigan is showing they have one on car-part.com. Phone number is 269-384-9073, stock number is BT0059, they want $65.

As far as LH cars disappearing from the yards, well, that's not quite true. While the yards here in the Detroit area aren't exactly packed with them, they are not uncommon.

My local pick and pull shows they have 4 Intrepids, all 2.7L cars, this being at US Auto of Sterling Heights. (For supposedly being the crappy engine, a lot of those 2.7L cars survived.)

The other nearby pick and pull chain (Parts Galore) shows they have quite a few Intrepids between their different locations, both 1st and 2nd gens.

Actually, right now I think we're at "peak LH" in the junkyards. The cars are finally being retired after being cycled through their second, third and fourth owners. A lot of them have logged 180,000 miles or more. I just went and looked at a Concorde LXi for sale locally the other day; unfortunately it was in parts car condition, and I'm looking for a decent driver for my son. It started and ran, but there was just too much wrong with it, even for $300, for it to be worth putting the $1500 or so into it that it would take to put it back on the road. I'd have pissed off my wife, and when I was all done I would have had a $1200 car for the low, low price of $1800.
