Ok just wondering if any of you have run into a solution for this. I've got three out of six PC's that will not run the login scripts from a NT DC to map network drives. The other ones work fine. These three will come and go.. most of the time the script won't run at all. I know other people have run into this by searching forums and such, but can't find an answer that works yet. I've dicked around with everything from the group policy settings on each pc to multiple network settings. Note that the same .bat scripts run fine on 98 and nt boxes. These machines are also xp pro. Right now I've got the scrips running half assed through the startup folder, but would like to get a real solution if anyone knows of one. Just thought I'd check to see if anybody on here knew of one. Thanks in advance.

Our XP laptops at work grab a login script just fine from our Win2000 A.D.

Are the scripts in the NETLOGON folder of the server? (Check this by browsing the network and looking under your domain controller)

Do the users who are trying to login on those machines have permissions to the NETLOGON folder?

It shouldn't be this hard for you.... hmm.... I'll investigate more when I get to work today.

(By the way, I work in IT)

Yeah.. I work in IT too and this is for one of our customers. It should work the way it is but it doesn't. The scripts are fine and work on other pcs. two of the xp machines work flawless and everythig is shared properly through netlogon. You can run them manually and it will work, but they just won't run automatically at login. Its really weird.
