Just thought this would be more for me so I can remember what has been done haha.
I joined a while back because I was going to buy an ex-police car but that ended up falling through and I fell in love with this 300m.

Chrysler 300m Platinum
I bought this car in July 2012 with 97,300 miles on it from a dealer for $5,700. It was (and still for the most part is) super clean and definitely worth it in my opinion. It has a clean title and has proven itself 20x's over. They wanted $7,900 for it, but I haggled them down $2,200.

The car is currently getting 26 mpg average and has twice the horsepower of my previous car (2001 ford escort zx2)

Mods so far

Engine:
J-Intake CAI
Second Muffler Delete

Interior:
iMPG EVIC
600 watt amp
12" Sony Xplod sub (for the flavor not the panel rattle)
Airbag plaque covers (thanks 300maximilien)
Silver trim

Exterior:
Platinum Series Badges (OEM)
Spyder Halos (Thanks mnitetrain)
HID Conversion (and thanks again mnitetrain)
Rear brake light LED (thanks 300maximilien)
Tinted Brake lights, turn signals, mirror turn signals
Aluminum (Now painted black) lower grill block
Repainted Top and Bottom Grill and door pillars
Tinted turning signals on turning mirrors w/ normal turning signals tinted as well
Silverstar zXe high beam lights (I recommend these)

Etc:
Whistler radar detector

Upcoming mods are:
Plenum spacer 3.0 if that ever comes through haha!
3.89 gears
2002 special pcm (In the future sometime)

Sometime in Sep. Added the CAI from JoeKD

Door fixed 10/22 Finally don't have to open it from the rear driver side!

10/27 Added halos w/o the HID kit

I had problems with one of the HID's from working when I put it in on 10/28 and had to have one HID and one normal Halo

10/29
Finally got them in and both working.

Yeah! I can't really complain anything about the car so far! Over 5k miles and no engine light. I love it! Hopefully this winter it will provide for me a nice warm ride! Haha.

Apparently it came stock with the ATC and turning-light mirrors with auto-pivot function. I don't know if those are standards or what not!

10/31
Visor Plaques added (so hard I know...)

10/31
Also added the rear LED light thanks to help from 300maximilien

Wiring was pretty easy with 300maximiliens instructions!

300maximilien: It's really basic. If you LED has the harness still, snip it off. Then all you need to do is tape into your OEM wires with t-taps (best choice) or you can cut & splice.

"On the strip itself, the white wire with the black covering on the end is positive and the gray (with resistor) is negative. On the cars harness, there is a black wire and a black wire with a brown stripe. The one with brown is positive and the solid black should be negative.

So black/brown stripe to white (positives)
and black to gray (negative).

let me know how it goes

Worked out pretty good!

GREAT $60 BUY
Deleted second muffler behind the spare holder, this one:

After:

I don't have a sound clip, but I got the idea from this youtube video and honestly it sounds a lot like 80% of the $300+ aftermarket systems. I don't know if it flows as well, but for $60 it was a great buy.

11/3 Went on to tint the front turning signals and the mirror turning signals to match the back. I kind of feel like blacking it out! :D Nah gotta keep it looking nice.

I had a little bit of a body kit going there for a little bit:

And the finished product:

11/3 Also installed a lower grill block for the winter. It basically fools the engine into staying hotter at highway speeds to use less fuel to keep warm. Sounds dumb, but you see all those semi's driving with them on. Might as well try it.

Also kind of improves aerodynamics. Well I suppose.... ANYWAYS I can remove it if it doesn't work out in the end. Worth a shot. Also looks decent with the chrome headlights.

Well today I decided to repaint the upper front grille because it had gotten grey and faded:

I used some of this because I liked the glossier kind of look it gave it in the end. Also I already had this purchased so might as well.

Anyways to the painting, cleaned it up a little then just began spraying

After a couple coats of the engine enamel and the left-over clear coat from tinting my brake lights I was pleased with the results:

More pics will come in the morning when their is actually light. Well not morning, but soon-ish. Need an overall update.

When I redid my upper grill I made a huge mistake. I used a piece of cardboard paper and removed the three rivets on the grill itself so I could bend back the bumper and put it in there so i wouldn't spray into the radiator. Smart right. It actually worked perfectly until I realized I shut the hood on it. As you can see from this picture I couldn't get to the latch and had to grab something to cut through the cardboard.

Anyways after it cured overnight (even though it was pretty cold) it darkened up a little bit and looks nice now!
