Hello Everyone!
First off I apologize if this is a repeated question here but I have no idea where to find the answer ...
1999 Intrepid, 2.7. The car runs great and fires up perfectly when cold. After the car is fully heated up and I turn it off it will start if I turn the key within a few minutes, but if it sits for 10 - 15 plus minutes it will fire but not run. I keep the throttle about halfway and continue to hit the key and it will chug away for a few seconds at a time and then after about 5 to 10 minutes of doing this it will catch and then chug away for a little while and then smoothen out and rev up. This started out as being a very rare problem and is now a sure thing to happen everyday. Now I just never turn it off unless I now that I will be somewhere for a long time.
No codes, Snap On red brick scanner shows crank and cam sensors are acknowledged when cranking, fuel pump turns on and shuts off when I turn the key like it should, temp gauge reads normal. I have reset all adaptive memories a few times with the scanner.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a pretty clean car with 260 km's (161K miles) on it ... but I have to admit that my 1996 3.2 Intrepid was a far better car.
Thanks very much!
Regards Art
