We have a 2000 Intrepid and sometimes when you turn the fan on for ac or heat it does not do anything. When this happens the power windows also dont work. Weird. Then you sometimes can turn the car off and on a few times and it will start working. Or it can sit all night and is fine the next morning until it decides to act up again. Anyone have any similar issues or a clue what it may be besides replacing the control unit.

When the fan and windows both act up, it might be a sign of a loose or corroded connection somewhere.
Start by checking the fuses and relays, especially those linked to the HVAC system and power windows. Sometimes, it's the simple stuff like a bad connection or grounding issue.
If it’s not that, you might be looking at a flaky control unit or maybe even a wiring problem. Don’t dive into replacing parts just yet, start with the basics and see if you can spot anything off.
