Have a hard cold starting problem, regardless of outside temp, plus car cuts out/bucks at 45 mph and when going uphill, sounds like it's backfiring, until I get frustrated and floor it. Then it's good - sounds like the 'trepid I know and love.
Also felt like it was missing at stop signs - cleaned iac which helped a great deal with the stop sign problem(thank you, 94_Concorde!) but the 45mph saga lingers on.
Sounds similar to another problem I read on the forum by Strikerty; however, no cruise light flickering or belt loss (at least not yet).
Have all new:
fuel filter, plugs .035 (2 sets), plug wires, battery, battery connectors, air filter, EGR valve and solenoid, plenum gasket, pcv hose, gas cap.
Fuel injectors are fine. Fuel pump makes normal sound. No fuel line leaks. Have also replaced fuse just in case. No vacuum leaks. Fairly sure head gaskets ok.
Would fuel pump be bad even though it's making normal sound? Any other ideas?
